What should my Total Alkalinty be kept at?   2007-06-06 21:46:37   The Total Alkalinity is very critical in a salt pool to keep the calcium from building up on your cell. Keep this as close to 80 ppm as you can. Do not worry about the pH since it will always appear to be high due to the sodium in the salt. By maintaining your TA your water will be crystal clear and your chlorine will be more effective.   Recommended range is 80 to 120 ppm, but 80 is the target.
How Much Stabilizer (CYA) do I need to have in my water?   2006-11-29 17:59:43   Outdoor pools need to maintain a 50 to 80 ppm stabilzer level (CYA). Indoor pools do not require stabilzer. Stabilizer or Cyanuric Acid Slows down the suns ability to destroy the chlorine and turn it back to salt. By having the proper stabilizer the chlorine you produce will last much longer in your water.   50 to 80 ppm is the recommend for an outdoor pool
What is the proper salt level for my unit?   2006-11-24 19:01:54   It will depend on your salt chlorinator. Please click on side bar and go to your manufacturers. In the manufacturers area will be the proper salt level for each unit. If you don't see it there, click on the link below and we will e-mail you a chart on salt levels. This chart is also in the November/ December News letter.

Each Chlorinator is different. Refer to salt chart
